Training

Most folks involved in the music industry have heard of Pro Tools, the industry-standard DAW. In fact, a large percentage of those people actually own their own system. For those interested in making money producing audio, becoming an expert using Pro Tools is a must.  It takes years of experience, but taking classes at an Avid certified training center can get you off to a great start. Currently, I am a Pro Tools 9 certified instructor at the Atlanta Institute of Music; in the past I have taught courses through Encompass Audio and Digidesign (now Avid).  For those on the fast track, contact me to inquire about private lessons.

Consulting

Recording studios are everywhere these days - the low cost of professional gear has encouraged scores of folks to take a crack at serious audio production. Building a proper, functional, project studio can be a daunting task, however.  What gear do I buy? How does it function? How do I deal with new artists? What are some industry-standard practices? An audio production consultant can help you wade through these issues as they pertain to your specific goals.
